Hi Tom and Mike,

I have been meaning to thank you both for all the wonderful baseball years!!! You both taught so much more than just baseball, having the right balance of being the tough guy, caring and being a friend to the boys. The Ducks were the perfect team for Justin and allowed him to develop as a person and a baseball player. I don't think any other team would have given him the opportunities that you both did. I also believe that baseball helped him be admitted to Skidmore.

Justin loves Skidmore, no surprise! He is very happy with his roommates, coach and baseball team. The pitching coach has converted him to side arm, which I am sure means more to you than to me...His arm feels good and his is looking forward to going to Florida in the spring. He is finding the classes challenging which is a good thing and learning lots. He was actually able to discuss the Federal Reserve at Thanksgiving.

Thanks again for being the kind of coaches you are!!! I hope all is well with you and your families!

As always much appreciated,
Sandy

PS Nick is also doing extremely well on the baseball team! Nick and Justin are planning to room together next year along with Justin's other roommate who is a basketball player - they call Justin's room the "Tall room" lol.
Dear Mike Goonan, Tommy Caputo, Mike Valiando, Jim Orlando, Matt Caputo

As Joe is getting ready for his freshman year at the College of Saint Rose I would like to thank the entire JR.Duck organization for helping develop Joe in to the baseball player he is now. Tommy and Mike V. You two by far are the best coaches on long island!!! Your influence on my son and the rest of your players will last a life time. Thank you for introducing them on how to play the game right way. Joe will take a big piece of your teachings to the next level. He was told by his college coach that he will be a two way player pitcher first and first base when not on the mound for this we thank you two for all your hard work in the cage and on the baseball field. Jim thank you for placing the phone call asking Joe to come join the JR. Ducks. Wishing your son Vinnie nothing but the best at Mercy college where he will be the spark plug the team will need.

Matt thank you for not only being a coach but being one one the guys and keeping the players loose.

My Deepest appreciation to the entire Ducks organization

Dear Tommy Caputo,

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and the LI Ducks organization for all that you have done for Anthony. Tommy you were a great influence on Anthony, from your beginning days of lessons, introducing us to Pat Friel (tell Pat we send our love, and No Knee Savers) and many days of coaching and encouragement both on the fields and off. As Anthony leaves for a big part of his dream to play division 1 baseball at Boston College we just want you to know that we really appreciate all you have done to make this dream come. Tommy you will always be remembered, and hold a very special place in my heart for all you have done for Anthony. Thank you. We will miss you and your family, they too will never be forgotten. God Bless you all.

All my Love,
Denise Italiano
Jimmy Powers will be signing with Temple University on Friday.
Once again I would like to thank your oganization for all that you have done for Jimmy. It was a pleasure playing with you and for your connection with Mark Holtzman and the South Florida Bandits. That really made a difference with his exposure to Division I schools.

Thank you once again from the whole Powers Family

Hi Mike,
Just wanted to update the alumni list as Nick was recruited by Div II College of Saint Rose in Albany. He will be signing his letter of intent on or after April 9th, they are offering him a starting shortstop position and he will be majoring in Business/Marketing.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the coaches and staff of the Long Island Jr Ducks for their help, information, and guidance in the process.

Nick is looking forward to playing this summer with the Ducks, and very excited about the propspect of playing at the college level.

Thanks again to the Ducks !!

Mike - You have probably already heard that Ryan stopped playing baseball. He is interested in focusing all of his energy on the next phase of his life, namely College. Now that Ryan has retired from the game (at age 17, retired?), I want to thank you for all you have done for him. You and the Ducks organization have had a great influence on his attitudes, values and work ethic. If not for you and the Ducks he would certainly be a different person than he is today. My son was very very fortunate to have had such special people as strong positive symbols during his formative years.

Ryan, Dawn and I also have many memories of the Ducks games and tournaments that will last a lifetime. Especially the trips to St. Augustine, Myrtle Beach and Oklahoma; the Triple Crown tournaments and great summer baseball seasons.

No words can express my thanks to everyone, but thank you.

Sincerely,
Dawn and Allen Halegua
